The museum describes the exhibition as a synthesis of the 36th São Paulo Biennial, selected by curator Anna Roberta Goetz and set in dialogue with the cultural, ecological and historical context of Mexico and Latin America. The original biennial ran in São Paulo from September 2025 to January 2026 under the title No todo viajero recorre caminos.
It is presented with the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, and the museum says this is the first time the biennial has travelled to Mexico.
