Diario de Yucatán reports that the Maratón Mérida 2027 is scheduled for 10 January 2027, as part of the build-up to the city's 485th anniversary celebrations. The organisers are aiming for 8,000 participants, up from the 6,000 who ran in 2026.
Four distances are offered, all starting and finishing at the Monumento a la Patria. The marathon sets off at 05:00, the half marathon at 05:15, the 10 km at 05:30 and the 3 km recreational walk at 05:45. Registration was open online through the city's marathon portal at the time of the report.
